点评：Ok first off I was promised bears. Now on our 2 trips around the loop we did not in fact see any bears and not much wildlife at all. We saw a few wild turkeys squirrels and some white tail deer. All of which I can see at home. Well not the white tail deer. Mule deer are native to where I live. Anyway we got up early to beat the heavy crowds and arrived before sunrise. There was already a line of people and we waited to enter the loop. There was quite a bit of “smoke” or mist in the flats making for some beautiful views and the trees are starting to change color. We made it around the loop quite quick considering we expected 3 hours for the 11 miles but with limited wildlife we didn’t really stop, just drove slow. I would recommend this drive however do not expect to see wildlife every time. It was worth the drive but I’m sad I didn’t see any bears. The internet makes it look like they are everywhere but I didn’t see one my entire time in pigeon forge, the Smokey’s and surrounding areas.
