点评：Do yourself a favour when you come to Halstett.
Book the funicular and the mine tour. It is definitely a must do.
The funicular ride is easy with awesome views of the picturesque mountains and low lying settlements such as Hallstatt. When you arrive at the top, there are archeologists to explain the history of the salt mine with artefaxts on display.
The salt mine tour take approximately 90 minutes. Our tour guide Alexander was fantastic - provided information both in German and English - Very clear and concise dialogue and extremely interesting which was intermixed with videos and salt tasting. The fun part of the tour were the two slides which our guide ensured maximum safety. We exited the tour on an original train that was used in previous times.
We highly recommend this tour - a high lift for us two Aussies. Thank you Halstett.
