If you're in the area it's a quick visit but don't make a special trip unless you're religious
St. Winefride's Well & Shrine的点评
点评:A funny little place, but obviously religiously significant. We got there just as the supervised daily well dips had taken place, so there were quite a few people. There's a small, interesting museum and shop, with toilets, as you enter, and that gives the background history. You then walk up to the well and into the building and back.
Car Parking is opposite or further up the hill in a layby off the road. There is an entrance fee, but if you are a Cadw, Historic Scotland (renewals only) or English Heritage member (renewal only) then you get in free.
The girl on the entrance tills was very friendly, but when I asked the shop till operator about going into the chapel she wanted my car keys as security. I offered my driving licence instead, but she wouldn't budge, so we left without seeing inside the chapel above the well.
