点评:I rarely write reviews, but i feel I have a moral obligation to do so now. I have now had three very disappointing experiences at this “accrobranche” (this one in les Carroz d’arraches and the one in Morillon). Unfortunately I can no longer recommend it, particularly for families with children.
The most serious incident happened last year, when my son was doing an adventure level course, several meters above the ground. His harness came off while he was up in the course. Had he fallen, he could have suffered a very serious injury.
What was particularly concerning, beyond the fact that the equipment was not adapted for his age and body type of course (7 years old at the time and quite thin), was the way the situation was handled by the staff. Rather than immediately recognizing the seriousness of what had happened and taking responsibility, I felt that I was largely left to deal with the situation myself,. The problem was also largely minimized. The response from the team was extremely disappointing given the potential consequences.
A year later, we returned with my son and naturally had questions about the harnesses, and wanted to make sure it was adapted to his body type. Instead of being reassured or having my concerns taken seriously, I was told, in essence, that if I was too anxious, I should leave and stop asking questions.
Yesterday I came to check what material they had and saw that they finally had the right harnesses which was good news. Once again however, instead of answering my questions professionally, a member of staff became aggressive and told me that I had not greeted them properly.
Parents should absolutely be able to ask questions about their children’s safety without being made to feel like a nuisance or being spoken to aggressively.
After these three experiences, I have serious concerns about both the safety culture and the way this park deals with legitimate parental concerns. For me, children’s safety should always come first, and parents should be listened to respectfully when they raise questions about safety equipment.
On another note, the place is also quite expensive from my point of view.
I would strongly encourage parents to ask very detailed questions about the equipment and safety procedures before allowing their children onto the courses.
Clearly, this was our last time there.
