点评:Outside of the movie, I can’t say I knew a ton about the Titanic so was looking forward to checking out the museum and getting out the 99 degree summer day. The same group runs same museum in Pigeon Forge. They offer tickets every half hour and I am glad we bought them online in advance. When we arrived, they ask if you already have tickets and if so, you can go right in after a couple of minutes, otherwise you will have to wait outside and while they have some fans, it’s still very hot.
As for the museum itself, it’s very informative and they offer an audio tour at no extra cost and I am glad I did , as it provides additional information and you can go as fast or slow as you want. There are two levels and you are not allowed to take pictures on the first one. They have a replica of the Grand Staircase and have other nice touches as you can touch the water at the same temperature as the passengers had to endure, and so on. One other unique item is as you arrive, you get a card of a person that was on the ship, and you can learn more about the person and then find out at the end if they survived. And of course, like any tourist place they try and get you with the green screen photo and you have to go through the gift shop before leaving.
The only issue I had is that unless I missed it, they really didn’t cover the aftermath after the accident as they mentioned in a couple of spots there were hearings, but it didn’t say what came of it. In any case, had a good time and would recommend!
