点评：I recently visited Thetis Lake Regional Park with my own kayak, and it quickly became one of my favorite natural spots near View Royal! From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the beautiful lake waters and the surrounding dense, pristine forest.
The park features both Upper Thetis Lake and Lower Thetis Lake, each breathtakingly beautiful. The water is mirror-calm, surrounded by towering evergreen trees. The air is incredibly fresh — every deep breath feels like it cleanses your lungs. It’s wonderfully quiet here, with almost no city noise, just the gentle sound of water lapping against the kayak and occasional birdsong. A true escape from the hustle and bustle.
Launching my own kayak was the highlight of the day. I paddled around the bays, small islands, and hidden coves, enjoying constantly changing scenery and peaceful moments on the water. The lakes are wide and generally calm, making it ideal for both relaxed paddling and exploration. Bringing your own kayak is very convenient here, and combined with the many hiking trails around the lake, this place is a dream for kayakers and nature lovers alike.
The facilities are excellent, with good parking, restrooms, and picnic areas, making it easy to transport and launch your kayak. Whether you’re kayaking, taking photos, hiking, or simply relaxing by the water, Thetis Lake delivers a perfect nature experience.
