The Whitecliff Inn的点评
点评：Even though I live in Carrickfergus, I never ever venture the few miles down the road to Whitehead….no real reason, I just don’t.
Having heard a bit about the Whitecliffe, I decided I should break with tradition and venture there.
It’s easy to get to by train, car or bus with ample parking. The bar is very pleasant, spacious and well designed. Staff are friendly and helpful but 2 things stood out.
Firstly, the length of time it takes to get served. It didn’t really bother us that much as dining should be a relaxed pleasure, but I’m sure many would be frustrated.
Secondly, although the starters were good, the main courses disappointed. The chicken was bland, the beef whilst nicely cooked and tender, was unseasoned and had no flavour. The accompanying gravy was very sweet which spoilt anything else. The pork was passable but again covered in the sweet gravy. Sides which arrived later were largely dried out.
At the price we paid for the Sunday menu it was just about passable, though having viewed their à la carte pricing, if this standard of food came out it would be sent back to the kitchen.

考虑到我们为周日套餐支付的价格，这顿饭勉强可以接受。不过，看过他们的单点菜品价格后，如果端上来的菜品是这种水准，我们会把它退回厨房。
