点评：A lovely village pub with friendly owners who clearly care about both their food and their customers.
We ordered two sirloin steaks and a burger. The steaks were cooked well, served with fresh, crispy chips and were exactly what you’d hope for from a traditional village pub. The first burger arrived a little overdone and was slightly tough, but the team dealt with it brilliantly. It was replaced immediately without hesitation, and they even offered the burger at half price for the inconvenience. That’s the kind of genuine, old-fashioned customer service that’s becoming increasingly rare and says a lot about how the owners run the pub.
A special mention too for how dog-friendly they are. Hamish was welcomed into the main dining area rather than being made to feel like an afterthought at the bar, which made all the difference.
