点评:The House is in excellent condition and provides a wonderful insight into the gilded era and more importantly the lives of Isabel and Larz Anderson- world explorers, diplomats and philanthropists. There was an excellent exhibition called Voices that was clear and concise and told a story marking the 250th anniversary. I enjoyed the house and marvelled at its collection of art and antiquities from around the world.
The downside was our Sunday 2:15 tour guide spoke incredibly quickly - without drawing breath and yes he would always after a monologue at 100 miles per hour say ‘any questions’ but there were few for fear on other download. He was incredibly rude to me. I asked a question - mid flight- he responded and then clapped his hand loudly in front of me as if to say ‘don’t interrupt again’. He’s energy spoilt the tour.
