As a family that lives all over the world, every summer we tend to meet up in a different country. This year, we chose a small place called Haddington, which is about an hour’s bus ride from Edinburgh.
Upon arrival, our tour guide, Kirsty, took the time to chat with us and get to know us, as if she was already part of the family.
During the tour itself, it was clear that Kirsty has a huge passion for what she does (I wouldn’t even call it a job). She explained everything in detail and shared some extremely interesting stories, information that you wouldn’t necessarily find on Google.
We had our whisky tasting towards the end of the tour, and if you’re driving or a little lightweight (like me!), you can take the samples away and enjoy them at home. They also have a beautiful shop downstairs where you can buy a single bottle or several, and even have a message engraved on the bottle.
I gave it a 5/5 largely because of Kirsty, although I probably would have rated it 4 or 4.5/5 otherwise. The only thing I was hoping for was the chance to see part of the production process. Even a quick peek through a door would have been nice.
Thanks, Kirsty!!
Lots of love,

Kirsty!
