A bit over-rated to be honest,Cap Canaille bay much more impressive

点评：Was looking forward to the boat trip to see the Cassis calanques, especially En Vau which is reckoned to be the prettiest of all the 9 or so along the coast.The boat trip was very pleasant (it was a heatwave with high 30s/low 40s temperatures) so we didn’t feel like walking.
Port Miou was nothing at all really, just full of boats.Low, rocky pine covered coast.Very nice.
Port Pin was better with plenty clear deep water for swimming. Port En Vau had a high rocky landscape on each side, pine and shrub covered, attractive but quite underwhelming given the hype.Beautiful water with some fish too but we had that in the really stunning bay below Cap Canaille which we stopped at for swimming.
The boats can only go so far in to the calanque but we could see that Port En Vau beach was tiny and stony with no shade.Didn’t look like fun.
The best part of the trip was swimming off the boat near Cap Canaille, a much more impressive spot with absolutely gorgeous deep clear water and a great backdrop of Europe’s third highest cliffs.
