萨尔茨堡市历史中心的点评
点评：Salzburg's Old City is a well-preserved historic area, a UNESCO world heritage site since 1996. It is situated on both banks of the Salzach river that gives a wonderful greenery scenes and it is characterized by the large squares, narrow elegant streets and the alpine hills around it.
It combines in harmony between the medieval northern and central europe and the Italian baroque architectures.
The main attractions among many others are the Hohensalzburg castle on top of the hill, the Mirabel palace and gardens, the Holy trinity church, the Saint Peter Abbey , the Salzburg cathedral and the birthplace of Mozart located in the famous narrow streets shopping area of Getreidegasse which also provides a great selection of restaurants and the squares of Mozart and Residenz where is located the city hall.
The stroll around the city is very pleasant especially near the shore of the river, a real blessing to the eyes.
