卡尔卡松中世纪之旅的点评
点评：What a fantastic place!!!
Had to visit La Cite after reading Kate Mosse’s book, Labyrinth & was not disappointed. Although it is à total tourist trap with lots of trinket shops, I’d recommend spending your time walking around the maze of narrow cobbled streets & just soaking up the atmosphere first - take your time.
There are lots of small cafes & restaurants up here usually situated in small courtyards or gardens. We enjoyed an excellent (& substantial) Gallette at Le Seneschal & à snack at à Creperie which were reasonably priced.
The castle (Chateau Comtal) & ramparts are well worth seeing (there is an admission fee). Audio guides are available but there are plenty of good information boards throughout.
When visiting the medieval Cite, do wear flat, comfortable shoes as the streets are cobbled & the castle has many stairs (especially the ramparts).
Walking around the Cite is probably a full days outing (we spent half a day just doing the castle & ramparts).
You will get some stunning photos of this amazing place & will feel like a time traveller!!!
