卡贝尔桥的点评
点评：It is a good idea to walk through the Chapel Bridge in Lucerne twice- one direction in and turn around to go in the other direction. The reason is that you will be able to enjoy the paintings that are hung above from the ceiling of the bridge that depicts the history of Lucerne in pictures. In spite of the fire in 1993 that destroyed many of the wonderful pictures, it is still a nice walk through to visualize the many scenes that are left that depict the historical events in Lucerne.
Dispite the possibility of crowds on the bridge, there are pockets of space for everyone to enjoy a quiet moment on the Chapel Bridge. I wasn't able to arrive until mid-afternoon in July after 2p.m. and it was still a manageble crowd on the bridge itself.
Incidentally, there is a wonderful busy souvenir shop right in the middle of the Chapel Bridge (right in the water tower) in the event you are unable to schedule time for some souvenir shopping. There is quite an assortment from nice magnets, watches, cowbells, and much more , etc. if you are interested. Just make sure you get there before 5p.m. as they have very limited hours of operation.
Chapel Bridge is located only about a 5-10 minute walk from the train station and connects to /from the Old Town of Lucerne. A great central point to begin or end your tour of Lucerne. Well worth a visit when you are visiting Lucerne!
