点评：Shillong view point is the point which is situated at 1965 meters above sea level, highest elevation of Meghalaya within the city central. The famous Shillong peak serves as the main vantage point of Shillong. The view from this spot will give memorable moment to you, especially during Sunrise and Sunset. This peak is owned by Indian Air Force radar station, and one of the most popular view points in the entire region. It's also known as the Abode of Clouds. 360 degree panoramic view of the city makes this view point special and on clear day one can see all of Shillong city spread out below. it offeres a wide panoramic view of the entire city and Himalayas, as well as of the Bangladesh plains.
An important aspect of Shillong peak that visitors need to understand in the presence of the Indian Air Force radar station. This place is restricted area, and not all parts of the peak are accessible to civilians. Also you cannot reach here in your own vehicle. You have to use taxi which authorized by Airforce team, for which you have to book along with Entry ticket.
