This was an extremely disappointing experience from start to finish.
We were told there were “plenty of blueberries to pick,” yet after spending our time in the fields, this was all we were able to collect. Paying $20 for such a poor experience felt like a complete waste.
What was even more disappointing was how the situation was handled. I returned the box and explained the issue. The employee simply took it back without any apology, explanation, or attempt to make things right. There was no offer of a partial refund, a voucher to come back when berries were actually available, or any acknowledgment that the experience had fallen far short of expectations.
I understand that crops and harvest conditions can vary. What I don’t understand is advertising a good picking experience when there is very little fruit available and then showing complete indifference when a customer expresses disappointment.
Customer service matters just as much as the product. Unfortunately, this business failed on both counts. I won’t be returning, and I would encourage others to call ahead and verify conditions before making the trip.
