Beautiful area for wandering
Nauplion Promenade的点评
点评：The promenade in the town itself is really beautiful, and a great place to wander. There are lots of open-air cafes if you want to enjoy a drink or a meal.
However, for me the most beautiful part was the Arvanitia promenade part of the overall promenade. It extends for about 1.5 km around the western part of the peninsula that Napflio is built on. It starts at the western end of the downtown, just part the yacht club.
There are gates to prohibit access, which everyone ignores, since the path is completely safe in normal weather. Locals just walk around the gates. Apparently there were some rockslides during heavy rains in 2018-2019, and the authorities officially closed the pathway. According to news reports, repairs should be done in 2026-2027 to make it safe - so it might be closed due to construction during those times.
So - go at your own risk, I guess, but it is an absolutely beautiful walk.
