Upsetting experience!
Denmans Garden的点评
点评：So we had a lovely lunch at the cafe, very polite staff and tasty food👍
It was our first time going around the gardens and I’m afraid it will be our last! No sign telling you to go to the gift shop to purchase a ticket to go into the gardens- which I feel there should be! We walked behind a couple to go into the gardens though a keypad gate( which we didn’t know it had a keypad at the time) as we were walking around we came across a couple working in the garden. At first we thought we had gone into a private part of the garden! My sister very politely said sorry is this part private, then the lady said did they give you a map and a sticker ( obviously not because we had no idea we had to purchase a ticket at the gift shop) she down tools and marched us out of the gardens. She was a very rude and angry member of staff!
To save anyone else being treated like a criminal and very embarrassed at how she handled the situation, I suggest put a sign up on the gate explaining the procedure of entering the gardens! We would never have done that on purpose, very upsetting experience, after a lovely lunch in the cafe.
Will not be returning and will certainly not be recommending people to visit the gardens, which is a shame as we were going to purchase a number of plants before leaving.
