Massive disappointment- don’t be tempted!!!

点评：If you know EVEN THE FIRST THING about the Romans and have only ever seen ONE ROMAN ARTEFACT, or ONE subterranean archaeological museum - and even if you haven’t - you will be disappointed. This is one small cellar with a 30min+ school talk, plus a slightly larger cellar with a mishmash of partial foundations, imported artefacts and skeleton, wonky torch gadget that is meant to trigger audio but doesn’t always work, a short cgi reconstruction of the 13th-century collapse of the cathedral (best bit - although not the best resolution), and - main point - nowhere near enough archaeology to give you a feel for the Roman or medieval layouts. You’ll learn way more from the book Utrecht: Tale of a City, or visiting the amazing real-life Roman boat at Castellum Hoge Woerd, which is free, and an easy ride on a hire bike from the city centre.
