Disappointed with Linden Hall
Macdonald Linden Hall Golf & Country Club的点评
点评：Lovely grounds but road driving up to hotel was full of potholes. Unfortunately the hotel is looking really tired and the receptionist greeting us was lovely but her uniform was stained and grubby looking which for staff greeting guests front of house wasn't a good impression.
Our room wasn't quite ready so we sat in the lounge with the other guests waiting. The leather sofas were tired looking and flaking and there was no staff to serve drinks at the bar and a family with children were getting restless waiting for someone to serve.
We then got told rooms were ready but the lift was out of order so guests had to climb the stairs with luggage.
The spa was good but no manicure or pedicure available and the pool needed updating.
The Linden Tree pub was lovely but food was very overpriced. No bar snacks like crisps or nuts available. There also seemed to be extra charge for bacon and cheese in the burgers which were already £22 and the cheesecake was a very small slice and £13. My husband was very disappointed.
We also had a fire alarm at 3.30am which seemed to be a false alarm but the night porter was very apologetic but he seemed to be trying to deal with it on his own.
Full English breakfast was fabulous however and the lady serving us was lovely. I noticed that there was a £6 charge if you wanted eggs benedict or anything different to full English.
Won't be back in a hurry sorry.
