点评:I spent 2 incredible days with Ethos and participated in a Sunday Market Tour with Cha, and a Spirit Tree trek with My. These 2 days were the BEST days of my 6 week travel in Vietnam.
The briefing we received from Hoa and Cha on Day 1 was so educational and eye opening, and we learned so much about the ethnic groups in Sapa and their plight.
During the tours, Cha and My shared so many stories and experiences of their families and childhood, their upbringing in the villages, their lifestyle as farmers - I was completely blown away. My interaction with them completely changed the way I viewed the Hmong ladies and kids in the streets of Sapa Town.
The Sunday market not only allowed us to see all the local harvests and handmade textiles - but also gave us a glimpse into the authentic lives of the local people in Sapa. Trekking through the rural mountain was awe-inspiring with breathtaking views, and eye-opening at the same time, to experience how the villagers live and survive in these remote areas. I was also moved to see how much effort the host family put into preparing a feast for lunch (which was absolutely delicious).
If you are visiting Sapa, spend time with Ethos - it would be an injustice not to!
