Beautiful surroundings, let down by some basics

点评：We visited Moddershall
Oaks for a spa day and stay in the pods that are outdoor. Staff were helpful on check in, and throughout the day, and although the spa itself was quite busy, but we found f space to use two pools, heated beds etc and the facilities were good.
The surroundings are beautiful and there were many birds and squirrels to see as we walked round the grounds.
What was less impressive was the fact that the restaurant had the same menu for lunch and dinner, which was disappointing. To compound this, I have sensory processing differences which means I have to avoid salads and so asked for a burger without salad, and when it came the waitress said “Who’s having the boring burger” which made me feel ashamed. Staff should be aware that people choose foods for a variety of reasons and making comment on the ‘boringness’ of something being ordered isn’t appropriate. Finally, whilst the pod was warm, and well appointed, the mattress (which felt like two mattresses pushed together) was very difficult to sleep on so a poor night’s sleep was had by both of us.
