点评:By just walking inside this cardboard cathedral, it is not hard to see why so many visitors flock to spend a little time reflecting. Especially with the tragic circumstances surrounding the need for this interim cathedral. Services are held here, so it is important to be mindful of any that are proceeding. I visited on a Sunday afternoon, in between services.
This cathedral is a little way out of the city centre, but not overly so much that it cannot be visited by those on foot. On my visit I chose to ride the tram and then hop off at the closest stop.
A mandatory gift shop is inside the entrance, staffed by well-versed volunteers. I spoke to a few of them, and they were all extremely friendly and helpful.
The only downside that i could see was that just inside the cathedral, in a corner are a small pile of stones. My first thoughts were that these stones were there purely as a display from the old cathedral. Sadly, they were touting the spiel about Palestine, with candles and information next to the candles. My personal view is that any organisation that openly supports a terrorist group should also support the victims of these terrorists, on the other side. Admittedly the Palestinian people are having a rough time, but very rarely is the original cause of their suffering spoken about.
