点评：Scamming on another level, your driver/guide (from a reputable tourism company: Coquil Bonheur) will warm you up to the spices at the market and other things.
When arriving at the market he then takes you to the vendor (where he gets a cut) and explains that this is the best and most honest spice merchant at the market.
This is where the scam starts. The guide will be standing about 5meters away (as not to intrude on your experience). You then smell the spices and want to buy some. They start packaging the spices you want immediately, and at the end they weigh it. It comes out at an obscene amount, in our case Rs4,000 for 3 packets of spice (total weight is probably 300grams). When you buy, this is where the magic happens.
Your guide will now leave you to experience the market on your own (which is actually terrible) and thats where he collects his cut from the heavily overpriced spice vendor. 30mins and one terrible market later, you are out of a lot of your spending money and your guide has pocketed a nice payday through this elaborate scam.
Be very careful, rather go out for a day on a catamaran and enjoy it with hospitable hosts. I will definitely not recommend this to anyone
