Sadly a number of shops shut down a bit run down - maybe market days are better days to visit
Villa Comercial El Campanario的点评
点评：On Tuesday 23rd June we visited the Villa Comercial El Campanario in Corralejo.
This purpose built, 2 storey Shopping Centre was built in 2001 and it's design is an open air village style At it's heart is a main courtyard area with cobbled lanes leading off it.
The main anchor store is the Hyperdino Supermarket as well as a Fund Frube, they are everywhere. There are a number of boutiques, clothing shops, arts and crafts, sportswear, specialty gift stores and a pharmacy. A number of cafes, tapas bars, and restaurants are dotted around the centre. The cafes and restaurants around the central plaza were rather busy. They are all housed in brightly coloured buildings.
As we walked around we did notice that a number of the units appeared to be permanently closed, which gave it a bit of run down appearance.
While we were here we also climbed the 97 steps to the clock towers viewing platform, reviewed separately.
As we climbed the steps we had the opportunity to see the second storey. It all appeared to be closed and boarded up and not used in a long long time. This further piled on the run down and depressed look.
There is a craft market held here on Thursday and Sunday where numerous stalls set up selling arts and crafts, handmade goods. Perhaps these days are the best days to visit here.
