Dorset Wildlife Trust Wild Chesil Centre的点评
点评：Went to Wild Chesil Centre mainly to see the Fleet on the boat and for birdwatching.
Car park at the centre is easily accessed and we paid £7.90 for a four hour stay. Then we proceeded to the centre itself.
Pros - it has a wealth of information on the landscape and area
- it has friendly staff
Cons - the Fleet boat trip was not running and the lady who greeted us was very apologetic and did check with back office but they had no idea when the boat trips were recommencing as the Pontoon is damaged and will be sometime before it is fixed. So if this is an ongoing problem why is there no note on the Centre website, instead it gives the impression the boat trips run daily. Please if you are thinking of going specifically for the Fleet Boat Trip TELEPHONE AHEAD, wish we had.
- We asked if we could walk round the Fleet and were directed to the very short wooden walkway which takes you onto the pebbles, you can walk a short walk to a cordoned off area where the terns are nesting, unfortunately as one of our party has artificial knees they find walking over pebbles uncomfortable and as there did not appear to be too much bird life on show we returned to the car and left.
We understand you can walk to Portland via a old railway line but that did not appeal to us.
- Finally the Centre is right next to the busy main road to Portland and there is the constant whizzing noise of fast moving traffic.
We left feeling disappointed and felt we should done our research better.

最后，这个中心紧邻通往波特兰的繁忙主干道，所以经常能听到疾驰而过的车辆呼啸而过的噪音。
我们离开时感到很失望，觉得应该事先做好更充分的调查。
