Turtle island and overpriced disappointment
海龟岛的点评
点评：Turtle Island is a small island of Sandakan. You arrive early and have free time till 6pm. Unfortunately there is not much to do and the snorkeling was very disappointing. None of the staff were around to help or maybe offer some activities like kayaking.
The food was okay but not the best.
Accommodation was awful, for the price you pay I expected a much better room and hot water. The room was old, outdated my sheet was ripped, the bathroom and toilet were old and stained.
The actual turtle experience was nice, seeing the turtle lay the eggs, bury the eggs and release fresh hatchling turtles. Mind you, to see you need to push through the crowd.
Overall I found this tour far to expensive for what it actual was. Very disappointing as this could be made into a great experience.
I think to see turtles it's much better to go to one of the islands of Semporna and snorkle.
