Bad safety experience
海龟岛的点评
点评：The boat ride over to the island was in a storm, one of the boats broke down mid way and it took over 2 hours for a 40 min journey.
On the way back, the island manager decided for the boat to return, not the boat captain and there were more people on board than allowable. This was because guests did not want to return on the boat that broke down the previous day.
People had to stand as there were not enough seats. The GPS on the boat did not work, they used mobiles to navigate and we lost contact with the other boat that was returning due to visibility. We subsequently found out that one of their motors failed and it took them over 3 hours to return.
When we returned all trips to the island were cancelled due to the storm.
I have travelled extensively and on this occasion I thought that people’s safety was a lower priority. The boat service is NOT owned and operated by a private company and therefore they are not well maintained.
