点评：If you are familiar with the credo "it will be what you make of it", this place is quintessentially it. Although remote (16 hours of flying, 3 separate legs from Los Angeles), it only felt remote because of the total travel reqiured to get there. They say only 400 or 600 people allowed at a time, but the lack of infrastructure made it feel crowded, as every place you went to eat, drink or do excursion was full. Sancho beach had a huge line to climb down the ladder, waited 1.5 hours. That beach is nice, but in no way the "best in the world" as touted. Also this is NOT a good island to snorkel. Waves and current too strong, access off the shore very rocky, and shark warnings on both windward and leeward beaches as 2 people recently attacked by tiger sharks. I am an avid snorkeler and that was very dissappointing. Save yourself a lot of $ and take the public bus for R$ 5 (about $ 1). There are noisy, smelly 2 stroke engine buggies everywhere which are so not in line with ECO friendly anything. What saved the trip was our hotel out on north end of island (Pousada Naonda), a great place to chill, have wonderful included breakfast, and watch sunset with glass of wine.
