Steeple Grange Light Railway的点评
点评：A really quaint 18-inch narrow gauge railway with two very different rides for the price of one.
We took the branch line first, on some fun open carriages that look to be converted Hudson wagons. This line is short, but the scenery changes rapidly, opening up into a quarry, which is an area of special scientific interest. There, the driver gives a talk on the quarry and the geology, which was very interesting. We were hauled by battery-electric loco, "Hazel".
Next, we took the main line, in a National Coal Board manrider, pushed up the hill by battery-electric loco "Greenbat". This line is a km long, with fearsome gradients and lots of interesting articles to see along the way.
All the staff were very welcoming and friendly, too. It was a wonderful and unique experience.
