点评：We had Gary Wei as our private guide in Guilin and at the end of the 48 hours not only we were very satisfied but we had got a new friend. From the very beginning Stefano and I met him, Gary tried to understand which were our needs and our preferences inside the program. Visiting the Elephant Trunk Hill not only he showed professionality, knowledge and love for this particular place but he and I had the opportunity of practicing together Tai Ji Quan which we have been practicing for about two decades. This gave us the chance to share something that is beyond words. After dinner he accompanied us for a short walk around the nearby streets plenty of shops and market stalls and he brought us to a traditional Chinese pharmacy where we tasted two healthy herbal teas.
The Lijiang River cruise to Yangshuo is an absolute must-do, and Gary made sure we got the most out of it with tips for light and points to make photos and other important explanations. We also visited together the countryside.
He recommended to attend the Impression of Light show and this was one of the best ideas ever — it was not only spectacular but really magical! We’re so glad he suggested it!
The last half day he brought us to the Xianggong Hill, showing us all the beauties of the place from its peak. Another beautiful experience. Until the very end of our tour at the railway station he had continued to pay attention to all our even unexpressed needs, i.e. a comfortable place where to change wet clothes.
If you’re visiting Guilin, don’t loose the chance of having not only a guide but an yourself a favor and ask for Gary Wei with Frank — you won’t regret it. He’s not just a guide; he’s a fantastic host and maybe also a new friend of yours!
