Great Potential Overshadowed by Service Deficits @ Vale do Lobo Ocean Course
Ocean Golf Course Vale Do Lobo的点评
点评：I recently played the Ocean Course at Vale do Lobo for the 5th time. Scenically, it remains one of the most beautiful seaside courses in the region—the back nine, in particular, offers breathtaking views as always. However, the overall experience this time around was a mixed bag.
At €205 for 18 holes including a cart, it isn't the most expensive option around, but you still expect a certain level of service. Unfortunately, the service surrounding the game fell short:
• Reception: The welcome was polite, but far from feeling truly welcoming.
• Cart Station: Staff simply pointed toward a cart without a word. I had to clean out garbage and empty bottles left by the previous players before wiping it down and loading my own bag—not a dealbreaker, but certainly not the standard for a €205 round.
• Starter: When I asked where the driving range was, I was dismissed with a rude wave of a hand in its general direction.
Course Conditions & Scenery
The tee boxes and greens were in top-notch condition. The fairways were okay, though a bit average compared to other courses in the area (e.g. Quinta do Lago South, Dom Pedro Old Course) That said, the incredible views on the back nine made for a wonderful round overall.
Clubhouse & Gastronomy
In stark contrast to the golf operations, the service at the clubhouse was genuinely friendly and attentive. The food was fantastic as well: the Wagyu smash burger was delicious, and dessert was equally superb.
Verdict
I'm not sure if I'll return to play golf here again, given that other courses in the region offer better conditions and far superior customer service. However, I would definitely visit the clubhouse again just for the food and hospitality.

发球台与果岭的状态堪称一流。球道状况尚可，但与周边其他球场（如金塔多拉戈南球场、多姆佩德罗老球场）相比则略显普通。不过，后九洞的绝美景色还是让整个打球体验变得十分愉快。
会所与餐饮
与高尔夫设施形成鲜明对比的是，会所的服务真正做到了亲切周到、体贴入微。食物也同样出色：和牛汉堡美味至极，甜点也同样一流。
总结
虽然该地区还有其他球场的环境更佳、服务也更优质，但我不确定是否还会再来这里打高尔夫。不过，单冲着那里的美食与热情周到的待客之道，我肯定会再光顾这家球场的会所。
