点评：Just before I came down south for a holiday, I heard that you can actually walk around the inside of HMS Victory. Can’t be true, I thought, but I’m going to the dockyards anyway to see the Mary Rose, so let’s have a quick look if I have time.
Well, thank heavens I did have time. This was absolutely tremendous. I can understand that some will be disappointed not to be able to see the entirety of the outside, but it was the inside I wanted to see and it was incredible. To be able to see the exact spot where Nelson was shot, the exact spot where he died…there are no words. Do get the free audio guide, it’s excellent. And don’t assume you can’t see the outside; the photo attached shows that you can see enough to get a really good idea of its size and look. When this work is finished it will be truly outstanding, but honestly, I think it already is.
