More Than Just a Guided Fishing Trip

点评：If you're thinking about booking with the Taos Fly Shop, do it. We spent the day with Blake and Christophe, and they were outstanding.
This wasn't just a guide service where they handed us a rod and pointed to the water. They spent the day teaching us why we were doing what we were doing. They explained what the trout were feeding on, changed flies depending on whether we were fishing a river or a lake, showed us how to read the water, and helped us understand where fish were likely to be holding and why. We came away learning a lot—not just catching fish.
They were incredibly patient, encouraging, and happy to answer every question we had. You could tell they genuinely enjoy teaching people and sharing their love of fly fishing.
Midday they put together a fresh, healthy lunch, which gave everyone a chance to relax, swap fishing stories, and enjoy the beautiful New Mexico scenery before heading back out.
If you're looking for guides who are knowledgeable, personable, and focused on helping you become a better angler—not just someone who rows the boat—ask for Blake and Christophe. They made our day one of the highlights of our trip to Taos, and we'll absolutely be back the next time we're in town.
