Our Favorite Beach Escape from NYC

点评：Robert Moses Beach is a fantastic destination from New York City and has become our family’s favorite beach. Getting there without a car is surprisingly easy. We take the subway to connect with the Long Island Rail Road to Babylon, and from there there’s a convenient shuttle that takes you right to the beach.
The beach itself is incredibly clean and, in our experience, rarely feels overly crowded. There’s a great little snack bar, a gift shop, bathrooms, and showers, so you have everything you need for a full beach day.
The waves can sometimes be a little rough, but there are plenty of lifeguards on duty, which we appreciate when visiting as a family.
It’s a great escape from the city and absolutely worth the trip. Clean sand, plenty of space, good facilities, and an easy public-transit option from NYC. We keep coming back!
