点评:I’m disappointed with my experience trying to book tickets at the Grand Theatre in Wolverhampton.
I was arranging a group booking for several ladies who have mild dementia, cognitive impairment, and mobility issues, so accessibility and clear communication were really important. Unfortunately, the process was frustrating from start to finish.
I was informed that the only suitable seats available for our needs were priced at nearly three times the standard ticket cost. This felt extremely unfair, especially given that these higher prices were effectively tied to accessibility requirements. It’s very concerning that individuals with mobility challenges may end up paying significantly more simply because of their needs.
I was then advised to contact the engagement team or accessibility team to request a possible discount. I did so, but I received no acknowledgement no confirmation that my email had been received, and no reply at all. This lack of communication was disappointing and unprofessional.
To make matters worse, I was told that the seats would be temporarily held for a week and that I would receive a follow up email. Again, no email ever arrived, leaving me uncertain and unable to proceed with confidence.
Overall, I feel let down by the lack of support, poor communication, and what appears to be an unfair pricing structure for those with accessibility needs. Vulnerable individuals should not face additional barriers or higher costs when trying to enjoy a simple outing like a theatre visit.
I sincerely hope the theatre reviews its approach to accessibility, customer service, and pricing, so others don’t have to go through the same experience.
