点评：The Grange Festival Opera has really upped its game over the last two years following a lull in audience numbers and opera performed.The last two years we have seen a great wide choice of opera and excellent staging and singing.The country opera is a competitive field and it needs to attract the audience particularly young people.The house itself is Greek Revivalist Style along the lines Ancient Greek Temple.It sits majestically overlooking rolling countryside and a lake.There are options for picnicking in reserved tents or restaurant dining or self picnicking outdoors with areas of shade.
We saw Julio Caesare and La Boheme and across the board the singing was of the highest level although the staging in the form was a bit over the top and too much happening distracting your focus on singing.They were also staging Eugene Oregon and Clemenza de Tito.
it is credit that in this remote location it must be challenging to do rehearsals.

However the road entry is quite long and incredibly dusty throughout - with taxis coming and going both entrances on a narrow road and thus quite challenging
Maybe the only solution is a drive through auto car wash !!
