A Gem in Yorkshire for Bird of Prey fans
National Centre For Birds Of Prey的点评
点评：What a great place! From the moment you get to the amazing setting you can see the education and conservation in work. There are a great selection of birds from small owls to large eagles and the very impressive Andean Condors. I have always loved Stellar Sea Eagles so to see 4 was a treat.
This is a conservation project at heart and the small crew of staff do a great job. The flying exhibitions are both really interesting and fun learning about all the individual birds.
If there is any criticism that birds are tethered then people should realise that birds of prey are pretty lazy and don’t want to use energy if they don’t want to. The birds are flown daily so if they wanted to fly away they have the chance. They should be seen as ambassadors, for people to learn about these amazing birds and want to do something to help them in the wild, both in the UK and abroad.
The cafe was really good. Small menu but the food was fresh and tasted good. The coffee was very good.
This is a gem of Yorkshire and I would highly recommend if people are considering going then please do!
