A Masterclass in River Cruising with Konkan Explorers

点评：We recently took a private sunset cruise with Konkan Explorers, and it was easily the highlight of our trip. If you’re looking for a perspective of Goa that you can’t get from the road, this is it.
We cruised up toward the Konkan Railway bridge, winding along the mangroves as the sun began to set. The wildlife spotting was incredible—we saw a variety of birds and even watched needlefish skimming across the surface of the water. Seeing the Old Goa churches from the river offered a stunning, unique vantage point that felt truly special.
The boat itself was well-appointed and very comfortable, stocked with a great assortment of drinks and snacks that kept us happy throughout the journey. Even the boarding location was a win—it’s a lovely spot with a great menu and views to enjoy before you even step onto the boat.
A huge shoutout and kudos to the crew! They were professional, welcoming, and clearly passionate. Their knowledge of the river, the mangroves, and the local birdlife added so much depth to the experience. To top it off, they gave us some fantastic recommendations for local Goan cuisine to hit up after we docked, which turned out to be spot on.
Highly recommend Konkan Explorers for anyone wanting an authentic, knowledgeable, and serene escape on the Mandovi.
