The Welcombe Spa的点评
点评：Sadly this Spa does not live up to the marketing or standards you would expect of such a hotel.
Booked for my sister’s 50th.
The pool is nice and the outside plunge pool with jets was working well but for some reason the water coming through the jets both outside and in the indoor jacuzzi was cold - very odd and not very pleasant. It was an added disappointment that the foot spas have been filled in. Added to that, the changing rooms were not clean - thick dust in between the slatted benches. One cheap hairdryer for customer use. Cheap foam shower soap.
The afternoon tea was a good size and sandwiches/scones were fresh but attention to detail is lacking. For example non-matching cups/saucers then no cake fork or serving implements. So, on a very hot day the cakes were very soft and melting and there was no way to pick them up without getting in a mess.
I had ordered prosecco and told them if the occasion but there was no recognition of this and I had to ask for the drinks to be brought out as they did not arrive. Clearly comms are poor.
The treatments were the biggest disappointment though. The scalp, neck and shoulder massage consisted of some oil being smoothed across the shoulder and neck area but no use of pressure. then the majority of the 20minutes treatment was taken up by the therapist scraping her nails across the scalp and doing little rubbing movements. Woefully inadequate. I could go on about the issues with this. I have had better scalp massage from my hairdresser and it should not even say neck on the description. The facial was a bit better. My therapist asked about my skin and gave me a hand massage while the mask soaked in - it was lovely, but my sister had no such treatment. Some therapists need some basic care and spa etiquette training. I spoke to the young woman serving the tea, and asked if there was a manager available to speak to, hoping to give them a chance to put things right, and she told me there was a manger on site but nobody came over to speak to me and the reception desk was deserted. In fact I went to the desk a couple of times and staff were not around. We did not see staff in the pool or changing area until the very end of our day and empty paper water cups were left lying around all day. There is no water cooler and the water in the dispensers was not cold even first thing, then ran out after lunch. Nobody was checking and nobody on the desk to ask to refill! We left earlier than intended and went into Stratford.
The overall price was over £100 pp for the day, and whilst this is good value I would rather pay more and get a good service. There appears to be a perception that it’s ok to offer sub-standard experience because of the lower price. Would not return, sadly.

不过最让人失望的还是护理服务。所谓的头皮、颈部和肩部按摩，不过是往肩膀和颈部抹些精油而已，根本没有任何按压手法。在20分钟的护理过程中，大部分时间治疗师只是用指甲在我的头皮上刮擦，偶尔做些揉搓动作而已。实在远远不够。关于这方面的问题我还可以继续说下去。就连我的理发师提供的头皮按摩都比这个好，而且服务描述里根本就不该提到颈部护理。面部护理则稍微好一点：治疗师询问了我的皮肤状况，还在面膜发挥作用时为我做了手部按摩——感觉很不错，不过我的妹妹却没有享受到这种服务。有些理疗师需要接受一些基本的服务规范及水疗礼仪培训。我与负责倒茶的年轻女子交谈，询问是否有经理可以面谈，希望给他们一个改正的机会。她告诉我现场确实有经理，但始终没人过来与我交谈，接待处也空无一人。事实上，我好几次走到接待台前，都没看到工作人员在场。在我们停留的整个过程中，直到快离开时才见到有工作人员出现在泳池区或更衣室；一整天都有用过的纸质水杯随意散落在各处。这里没有饮水机，饮水机里的水即便在早上也不是凉的，午饭后就彻底没水了。没有人来检查，前台也无人可以询问如何加水！我们便提前离开，前往斯特拉特福德。
这一天的费用人均超过了100英镑，虽然这个价格还算合理，但我宁愿多花点钱来换取优质的服务。似乎有一种观念认为：因为价格较低，提供质量欠佳的服务也是可以接受的。很遗憾，我不会再光顾了。
