点评：The National Arboretum Canberra is one of those places where nature, landscape design and open space come together beautifully. I visited on a clear day, and the views across the rolling green hills, Canberra and the surrounding countryside were absolutely stunning.
It is a wonderful place for a relaxed walk, a picnic, coffee, lunch, or simply a quiet afternoon outdoors. The lawns are wide and peaceful, the tree plantings are impressive, and every turn seems to open onto another beautiful view. The Village Centre is also worth visiting, with its striking architecture, large windows, café, gift shop and information displays.
I especially liked how spacious and calming the whole area feels. It is not just a garden — it is a living collection of forests, rare trees and open landscapes. Families will enjoy the Pod Playground, while visitors who prefer something quieter can explore the walking trails, the bonsai collection, the Himalayan Cedar Forest or the scenic lookouts.
The Margaret Whitlam Pavilion is another beautiful feature, set perfectly into the landscape and ideal for photos. The whole place feels carefully designed but still natural and open.
Entry is free, which makes it even better. I would recommend checking the official website before visiting for current opening hours, café times and any special events.
