A Beautiful Artistic Gem Near Puri!

点评：Visiting Raghurajpur Artist Village in January 2026 was one of the most memorable cultural experiences of my trip to Puri. This beautiful heritage village feels like a living art gallery where every house tells a story through traditional paintings, handicrafts, and ancient Odia art forms. I was amazed to see talented local artists creating authentic Pattachitra paintings right in front of visitors with incredible detail and patience.
The village atmosphere was peaceful, colorful, and deeply connected to Odisha’s culture and traditions. The artists were very welcoming and explained the history behind their artwork, which made the experience even more special. Apart from paintings, I also saw palm leaf engravings, wooden crafts, and traditional masks that reflected the rich artistic heritage of the region.
What I loved most was that the village still preserves its original charm without becoming overly commercialized. If you are visiting Puri and want to explore something beyond beaches and temples, Raghurajpur Artist Village is truly a hidden cultural gem worth experiencing.
