Outstanding visit – fascinating, immersive and brilliantly delivered
Battle of Britain Bunker的点评
点评：We visited today as part of a work trip from AAC Middle Wallop, and this was genuinely one of the best historical tours I’ve experienced.
The Battle of Britain Bunker itself is incredible – stepping down into the operations room really brings history to life, and you get a real sense of the pressure and importance of the decisions made there. Seeing the map in person (and spotting Middle Wallop on it!) was a particular highlight for us.
What really made the visit, though, were the guides. Chris was absolutely outstanding – knowledgeable, engaging, and clearly passionate about the subject. He explained the complexities of the Dowding system in such an accessible and compelling way, and you could feel the tension and significance of what happened in that room. Terry was also excellent and added to a really well-run, professional experience.
Like many others have said, the tours here are what set it apart – the guides truly bring the history to life and make it memorable.
The visitor centre is also well done, with plenty to see, but the bunker tour is the real highlight and absolutely worth it.
A fascinating, humbling and thoroughly enjoyable visit. Highly recommended – especially if you have any interest in aviation, military history, or just want to experience something genuinely special.
