点评:This place was definitely a delight.
We pulled out the brochure in the hotel and turned up not knowing what to really expect.
Perhaps the lovely September weather coloured my views but it was a lovely hour in Cayton.
The place was smaller than I expected yet with ample parking. A workshop was available at certain times if you really wanted to dive deep into stained glass work, on this occasion we were happy to browse the wonderful pieces of work.
Prior to viewing the glass work we went into the he tea rooms, they were inviting with the open glass doors allowing the late summer breeze to waft through the room. The menu was quite a decent affair and on another day I’d have been tempted with the afternoon tea, which looked very tempting, instead we stuck to, tuna jacket spud each.
I was considering the bottled beer they had on offer but instead went for my second failing of vanilla milkshake and in these days of marshmallow, cream, ice cream and various other additional concoctions this one came naked, pure vanilla milkshake, splendid.
After lunch we spent time in the lovely laid out garden and the a while viewing the glass pieces, there were several we considered and one we really should have bought though we didn’t.
Perhaps by not making the purchase there and then we subconsciously left ourselves the invitation to return again in the future.
Thank you Stained Glass Centre for a smashing sojourn from life’s mundane.
