饼干工厂艺术博物馆的点评
点评：I must confess that, for reasons too boring to mention, I got lost trying to find this gallery. However, those frustrations evaporated upon walking through the door; I received a wonderfully warm welcome from the lady on reception. She offered an introduction to the venue and suggested that I may wish to begin with a relaxing visit to the cafe. An excellent idea; a reviving cup of coffee and a cheese scone to die for (all very reasonably priced) quickly revived my spirits.
There followed an absorbing tour of the gallery with a diversity of content and styles on show. One artist had a painting of a city scene that I had photographed the previous evening, but he had chosen to depict it from a different angle. His choice was the better one, and I subsequently returned to retake my photo.
On my way out, another conversation with my new “friend” on reception; she very kindly suggested a photographic route back to the city centre, which I duly took, along with some other tips of things to explore during my stay.
