点评：Honestly didn't know what to expect going into this, but Madushanka made the whole day something we'll be talking about for a long time.
He picked us up and from the first few minutes it was clear this guy actually knows Yala inside out — not in a rehearsed tour-guide way, just genuinely passionate about the park and everything living in it. He spotted animals we would have completely driven past. Elephants, crocodiles, deer, peacocks — and then at one point he slowed down, pointed quietly, and there was a leopard. Just sitting there. I think we all stopped breathing for a second.
What I appreciated most was that he never rushed anything. Some guides are clearly trying to tick boxes and move on. Madushanka would just wait, watch, and let the moment happen naturally. He'd share little details about the animals — behavior, habitat, why they were doing what they were doing — without it feeling like a lecture.
The jeep was comfortable, the driving was careful, and the whole thing felt well thought out from start to finish. No chaos, no feeling like you're being herded through a checklist.
If you're planning a Yala safari, just book him. Seriously. Yala is already one of the best places in Sri Lanka for wildlife, but the guide makes or breaks the experience — and Madushanka is the reason this one was unforgettable.
