点评：Our family was visiting Juneau on a cruise stop. We had an early morning arrival and wanted to learn about Juneau's history and sites while still keeping the Mendenhall Glacier as our primary focus. Our driver, Yoel picked us up directly from the cruise terminal to begin our journey. Along the drive to the glacier, he pointed out many sites along the way, many of which we hadn't known to be historic. Yoel had so much knowledge on the history of the area, both related to the nature and surrounding islands, as well as the town and its people. He was also consistently pointing out wildlife for us along the way - every eagle we saw was thanks to his expert eye!
After our hike to view the glacier, we simply called our guide for our return - he was able to pick us up quickly and efficiently, right at the entrance to the visitor's center. We learned more history and fun facts on the way back, and halfway through decided to change our end point to the whale project for a photo opportunity and to walk the waterfront trail. He was able to accommodate this change and even offer other flexible options for us.
Overall, we were extremely satisfied with our experience. On top of that, the price was a steal compared to the onboard excursion offerings. Definitely recommend!
