点评：Foix castle currently houses a museum dedicated to the turbulent counts of Foix. The most relevant seemed to be Gaston III, a Count of Foix who was a passionate hunter and even wrote an illustrated book about hunting, which became one of the most influential texts of its era (a kind of bestseller of the Middle Ages, I guess). Many exhibits, including the scent of his favorite baked wild boar recipe, are related to Gaston III. Picturesque views over the Pyrenees mountains from the towers. I would recommend visiting the castle about an hour before sunset, for better pictures. We witnessed a hands-on demonstration of how a medieval crane and a war machine worked during the time when the Counts of Foix ruled the region. Nobody got hurt in the process.
