Interesting Mine, Disappointing Tour Guide Experience
Capital Prize Gold Mine Tour的点评
点评：We recently visited Capital Prize Mine while vacationing in Colorado. The mine itself was very interesting, and we enjoyed learning about its history and what mining was like in the area. Unfortunately, our experience with the tour guide left a lot to be desired. Our guide's name was Paul and from the beginning, he seemed irritated by questions and almost appeared put off by having to interact with the group. One woman on our tour asked a number of questions, and rather than engage with her, he repeatedly ignored her or talked over her. It became so obvious that it was uncomfortable for the rest of us to witness.
I asked one question myself and received a sarcastic, condescending response which set the tone from the get go. It certainly wasn't the welcoming or educational experience we had expected.
What makes this particularly disappointing is that there were only a few people on our tour and all walked away with the exact same impression of the guide's attitude.
I've read numerous positive reviews of Capital Prize Mine, including some specifically praising this guide, so perhaps he was simply having a bad day. Unfortunately, we had to put up with his attitude this day. While he may be knowledgeable about the mine, his arrogant, dismissive, and unnecessarily condescending attitude overshadowed the entire experience. Quite frankly, he came across as someone who had very little patience for people and even less interest in providing a positive experience for paying customers.
The mine is absolutely worth seeing, and the history is fascinating. My advice would be to visit the mine but hopefully you'll have a different experience with your guide or maybe you will catch Paul on a better day.
