Ct ren faire comes together in 2026!
The Connecticut Renaissance Faire的点评
点评：Ct Ren faire has found its feet in 2026! Somehow it has risen to be the best of all ren faires on the east coast (perhaps barring NY, which in its own rights has many excellents aspects). However, the ME ren faire is nothing more than flea market, and KRF, once the crown jewel of ren faires, is a dismal abomination interested only in how much money it can wrench out of you, on new grounds and frankly not worth visting.
Pricing here is both fair and affordable. About $20 for adults, and under <16 $13. (More than double that at KRF, for far worse grounds!) I was at the faire for 10hours+ and did not have time to see 1/4 of the shows. Multiple shows will be ongoing at any given time. Music abounded. Character parades. Games of skill, at a price which makes it fun worth trying (about $4 to throw some axes or daggers for example). Cheap beer and mead. And outstanding craft quality! First class vendors, and too many to see in depth. You will not see all this faire has to offer in one outing.
The day crowd was lovely, no overly long lines, (never waited more than a few minutes for anything from beer to bathrooms), but on queens nights (18+), watch out! It becomes a monster party, and maybe plan on grabbing a seat early for any of the shows!
Great shows for all ages during the day. The good guys won't always win at the jousting grounds! And MMA armored combat?! This is a thing here. And it is raw and visceral, combatants compete for prizes and it is certainly exciting to watch.
Food 10/10 All the favorites and prepared by independent vendors who know the quality of the product is tied to their success (And shame again KRF for switching to sysco!). You will not go home hungry, or thirsty or broke (unless you plan on buying armor, and you WILL be tempted, lol). A lot of fun snacks and tidbits.
In a way, the decline of closer shows has been a blessing, and moved us out towards these other faires. CT has been getting better every year as vendors set up permanent camp on the grounds and the venue grows.
About 75% of the visitors were in costume! and That alone makes for a wonderful setting. You can rent costumes here, but Amazon can get you acceptable garb overnight most of the time as well. Highly advise a visit to the CT ren faire. Great time.

白天的游客们都很友善，排队人数也不算多（从买啤酒到使用洗手间，我从未排过超过几分钟的队）。不过在“女王之夜”（18岁以上方可入场）可要小心了！那时这里会变成一场盛大的派对，建议尽早抢个位置观看演出哦！
白天有适合各年龄段观众的精彩表演。不过在马上枪术比赛场上，好人也未必总能获胜呢！还有带盔甲的综合格斗比赛？在这里真的有这种项目，场面相当激烈且震撼。参赛者们为奖品而竞争，观看这样的比赛确实令人兴奋不已。
食物：满分10分。有各种大家喜爱的美食，这些食物都由独立经营的摊贩制作——他们深知产品的品质与自身的成败息息相关。（再次谴责KRF改用Sysco的食材！）你绝对不会饿着肚子、渴着回家，也不会花光钱包里的钱（除非你打算买护甲，不过你肯定会受到诱惑的，哈哈）。还有大量有趣的零食可供选择。
从某种意义上说，近距离观看表演的机会减少反倒是一件好事。随后我们便前往了其他几个嘉年华。随着摊贩们在场地上搭建起固定摊位，场地规模也不断扩大，康涅狄格嘉年华的质量年年提升。
